Global Risk Review (GRR) provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance to the Boards, the Committees, the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer, the Citigroup Chief Credit Officer, senior management and regulators over the effectiveness of credit, capital and collateral risk management and the ability of the Business and independent Risk Management to identify, monitor and mitigate current and emerging risks.

The GRR Credit Risk Specialist will report to the GRR Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and is responsible for leading and overseeing remediation efforts across the GRR credit review functions, playing a critical role in closing regulatory, audit and self-identified issues.



Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Banking & International Credit Review (BICR) Product Specialist and Personal Banking Credit Review (PBCR) Product Specialist, lead and coordinate remediation efforts across GRR
  • Lead coordination of key management initiatives with support from nominated BICR, PBCR and GRR CAO team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective remediation efforts
  • Guide teams through substantial change to facilitate smooth implementation of remediation plans
  • Draft and/or review and approve key policies and procedures developed as part of remediation
  • Lead training efforts to ensure teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to support awareness and sustainability of remediation efforts
  • Travel required (up to 25%)


Qualifications:

  • 15+ years relevant work experience in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or similar with Credit or financial statement analysis experience.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and trends and anticipate horizon issues.
  • Fully conversant in credit policy matters.
  • Good knowledge of capital markets products, including derivatives.
  • Ability to recognize emerging risks, including operational risk.
  • Expert in risk analysis and risk management processes for one or more products and lending areas.
  • Developed project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and exert influence without direct authority.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate to audiences of varying levels of seniority.
  • Proficient commercial awareness
  • Senior Credit Officer qualification preferred.
  • Regulatory experience or relevant experience in a similar role at another institution is desirable.
  • Language skills preferred, depending on region.
  • Knowledge of Citi's organization and systems preferred.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
